Use the Attach dialog to configure additional options for the source of the selected attachment on the Send Email action's Message tab. Depending on the type of attachment that you are configuring, one of the following dialogs opens when you click in the attachments list.
An embedded template is any combination of data and variables that you specify as the content to use for the attachment. You can configure the following options when the attachment type is Embedded Template:
Value: Enter the data that you want the action to use for the attachment source.
: Opens the Insert Variable dialog, which you can use to add a variable to the Value field.
: Opens the Insert Symbols or Special Characters dialog, which you can use to add a symbol or special character to the Value field.
Import: Opens the Open File dialog, where you can browse to and specify an existing data template file to import.
: Opens the Value for dialog, where you can edit the value of the embedded source.
Content Encoding: Specifies the encoding to use when the Value contents are read.
Content-Type: Specifies the data format to use when the Value contents are read.
You can configure the following options when the attachment type is Variable:
Variable: Specifies the variable that you want the action to use for the attachment source. Click to select a recently used variable, or click More Variables to open the Insert Variable dialog.
Content Encoding: Specifies the encoding to use when the Variable contents are read.
Content-Type: Specifies the data format to use when the Variable contents are read.
You can configure the following options when the attachment type is External File:
Location: Specifies the file system or location in which the source folder exists. File systems or locations can include a temporary storage folder, local file systems or network shares, Librarian, or a supported cloud storage location. For more information about supported cloud storage locations, refer to the Administration Console
File Name: Specifies the path and folder name. You can enter the folder location and file name or click Browse to locate and then select the file that you want (the Browse option is not available when Location is set to Temporary Storage).
Last Published Revision: Specifies that the action uses the last published revision of the specified Librarian file. This option takes effect only when the Librarian file is assigned to a workflow. Available when Location is set to Librarian.
Content-Type: Specifies the data format to use when the file contents are read.
You can configure the following options when the attachment type is Files in Folder:
Location: Specifies the file system or location in which the source folder exists. File systems or locations can include a temporary storage folder, local file systems or network shares, Librarian, or a supported cloud storage location. For more information about supported cloud storage locations, refer to the Administration Console
Folder: Specifies the path and folder name. You can enter the path and folder name or click Browse to locate and select the folder that you want (the Browse option is not available when Location is set to Temporary Storage).
Content-Type: Specifies the data format to use when the file contents are read.
