Print Portal is a web-based application that provides an interface for selecting and printing BarTender document files. When you use Print Portal, you eliminate the need to open and print files through BarTender or through external applications. When you integrate Print Portal with Librarian, you can use the Print Portal interface to access BarTender documents that are stored in Librarian.

A web server hosts Print Portal, which makes BarTender documents accessible to other computers and mobile devices over the intranet or internet. Users can print documents by using a web client interface to select the document that they want to print. You can securely deploy Print Portal so that internal users and external users (such as outside suppliers or vendors) can use your configuration.

By using Print Portal, you can do the following:

• Browse for BarTender document files

• Search for files by keyword

• View files by icons or details

• Group and sort files to make browsing quicker

• Use color-coded folder icons and/or custom images to organize your files

• View document comments and file information

• Preview BarTender documents before they are printed

• Print documents with a single click

• Enable authentication and other security measures

• Enable external users to select documents that are shared with them over the internet to print to printers on their production floor

When Print Portal is integrated with Librarian, users can also do the following:

• View the revision history for a Librarian document and compare document revisions

• Advance a Librarian document through its workflow states

• View and add to the revision comments that are tracked in Librarian
