The Home page includes the following components.
The following options are available:

The icon can be replaced with an icon of your company logo or other custom image. For more information, refer to Branding Property Page. |
: Displays the following options:
Administrative Setup: Opens the Administrative Setup page, where system administrators can specify advanced configuration settings for Print Station.
Toggle Full Screen: Switches between full-screen view and a view that provides maximize and minimize options.
Print Station Help: Opens the Print Station help system.
Knowledge Base: Links to the online BarTender Support Center, where you can review frequently asked questions, access BarTender technical documents and videos, join conversations in the BarTender user forum, and submit requests for technical support.
Training and Support: Links to the online BarTender Support Center, where you can access technical support contact information and training videos.
Seagull on the Web: Links to the Seagull Scientific website, where you can view videos and read technical documents that can help you integrate your system with BarTender. You can also find information about the BarTender Suite and download additional printer drivers.
How to Upgrade: Links to the "How to Upgrade BarTender" web page on the Seagull Scientific website so that you can review information about any upgrades that are available for your copy of the BarTender Suite and add printer licenses to your system.
About: Displays information about the version of Print Station that is installed.
View:
Group By: Specifies a filter by which to group folders and BarTender documents. The Group By filters are drawn from the document metadata that is specified on the Information tab of the BarTender Document Options dialog in BarTender Designer for a document.
Sort By:
Refresh: Reloads the Home page content.
Search: Searches for files by name or partial name.
The folders and files that are available in the folder navigation pane are determined by your system administrator.

Print Station displays only those folders that you have been granted permissions to access. If the folder that you want is not displayed and you know that it exists, contact your system administrator to verify that you were granted the required permissions to access the folder. |
When you select a folder in the navigation pane, the subfolders and files in the selected folder are displayed in the document selection pane to the right of the navigation pane. Click a folder to browse to the file that you want, and then click the file to open the Print page.
When you select the View (Details) option on the toolbar, the folders and files in this pane display a menu icon (). The options that are available on this menu vary depending on whether a folder or a file is selected and whether the item resides in Librarian. These options include the following:
Browse: Opens the folder so that you can browse the subfolders and/or files that it contains. Available when a folder is selected.
Print: Opens the Print page so that you can preview and print the file. Available when a file is selected.
Save: Downloads the folder or file to the local computer.
Remove: Deletes the selected root folder. Available when you have administrative permissions and a root folder is selected.
Folder Color: Opens the color selector, which you can use to specify the color that you want to change the folder icon to. Click Reset to restore the default color. Available when a folder is selected. Not available for root folders that have a custom image applied.
Revision Comment: Opens the Revision Comment dialog, which you can use to add a comment to the selected document revision. Available when a document in the Librarian folder is selected.
Revision History: Opens the Revision History page, which you can use to view and compare different versions of the selected document. Available when a document in the Librarian folder is selected.
Transition Workflow Step: Opens the Workflow Transition page, which you can use to change the workflow state for the selected document revision. The states that are available are the states that are configured on the Librarian Setup page in Administration Console. Available when a document in the Librarian folder is selected.

When you click this option for a document that is not assigned to a workflow, the Workflow Transition page opens and displays a "There are no workflow transitions available for the specified document" message. Click the icon to return to the Home page. |
