Print Job Logging Page |
Use the Print Job Logging page to automatically log print job information to the BarTender System Database. To access this page, expand the System Database node in the left navigation pane of Administration Console, and then click Print Job Logging.

For the changes that you make on this page to take effect, you must restart BarTender, except as noted. |
The following options are available:
Log print job information: Specifies that BarTender logs information to the BarTender System Database for each print job that it runs.
Reprint
Include data required to reprint jobs: Specifies that the system database saves the data that is required to reprint logged print jobs.
Require a comment when reprinting jobs: Specifies that when users use the Reprint Items or Reprint Job dialog in History Explorer or Reprint Console to reprint items or print jobs, they must first enter a comment in the Comments field of the dialog. This comment is displayed in both History Explorer and Reprint Console. When you click to select or clear this option, you do not need to restart BarTender for the change to take effect.
Include copy of the BarTender document: Specifies that the system database saves a copy of the document that is printed in logged print jobs. This optional feature ensures accurate reprinting even if the document is changed or deleted.
Include copy of linked and data sourced pictures: Specifies that the system database saves a copy of any pictures that are either embedded in the document or linked to the document from a data source. This optional feature ensures accurate reprinting even if any referenced pictures are changed or deleted.
Images of Printed Items
Include image of the printed item(s): Specifies that an image of each printed item is saved in the system database. You can specify the following options for the saved images:
Items: Specifies the items in a print job whose image you want to save. You can select all, first, last, or first and last.
Image Type: Specifies the file type with which you want to save the image. Available image types include *.pdf, *.jpg, *.png, *.tif, *.emf, and *.bmp.
Colors: Specifies the type of color that you want the image to use. You can select monochrome, 16-color, 256-color, or True Color (24 bit).
Resolution: Specifies a resolution for the image. Use the arrows to select a resolution. Alternatively, enter a resolution in the field.
