When you double-click an object that you have positioned inside the table object, you open that object's Object Properties dialog.

The Table Properties dialog provides access to the property pages for a table object.
To open the Table Properties dialog, double-click the outer edges or the internal grid lines of a table object. Alternatively, use the secondary mouse button to click the outer edges or the internal grid lines of a table object, and then click Properties.
