The Move Item to Printer dialog is displayed when you move an inventory item to a printer. You can modify some of the parameters and choose whether to add the item or replace an item that is already in the printer.

The following options are available:

• Item: Specifies the item to move to the printer. All inventory items can be selected.

• From Location: Specifies the location from which to move a quantity of the item. All storage locations for the current item that have a non-zero quantity are displayed. If only one location is available for selection, the item is automatically removed from that location, and this option is not displayed.

• To Printer: Specifies the printer that receives the inventory item. All visible printers can be selected.

• Add Item: Adds the specified inventory item to the printer.

• Replace Item: Adds the specified inventory to the printer and replaces the item that is selected in the adjacent list. Identical items and (for media) items of the same type can be replaced. In all other cases, an item can only be added, and the Add Item and Replace Item options are not displayed.

Item Usage

• Estimated Maximum: Specifies a new estimated maximum for the item if this value is different from the value that is configured on the Usage tab of the Item Properties dialog.

• <Units> Remaining: Specifies the amount of the inventory item that remains. This setting can be useful when you return a partially used item to the printer. The <Units> value depends on the usage tracking method that you select for the item.
