The Duplicate Part Number dialog appears when you click Look Up in the Receive Item by Part Number dialog and the part number that you are looking up has duplicate entries.

The following options are available: 

• Define new item: Specifies that you want a new inventory item to be associated with the duplicate part number. When you select this option and then click Define, the New Item Properties dialog opens. Click OK in this dialog to add the new inventory item with the duplicate part number.

• Select existing item: Specifies that you want to select an existing inventory item to associate with the duplicate part number. Select the item that you want in the list, and then click Select. The existing part number is not modified.
