Layer Object Management

Objects can be moved between layers using both the Arrange menu or the Properties dialog. Layer object management is particularly useful in situations where an object was accidentally placed on the wrong layer.

Objects may only be moved to and from unlocked layers.

ClosedTo move an object to a different layer using the Arrange menu

  1. On the template, click on the object that you want.

  2. Open the Arrange menu OR open the context menu for the object.

  3. Select Move to Layer.

  4. Click on the destination layer.

ClosedTo move an object to a different layer using the Position property page

  1. On the template, click on the object that you want.

  2. Double-click on the object to open the Properties dialog. Alternatively, select Properties from the object's context menu.

  3. Select Position from the navigation pane to open the Position property page.

  4. For Layer, select the destination layer that you want.
