When you click a document in the document selection pane on the Home page, the Print page opens and displays the status of the Client Print service, the currently selected printer, the number of copies to print, and a preview of the printed item. The following options are available:
Printer: Displays a list of available printers that you can use to print your document. This list includes printers that are installed on the local computer, on remote computers in the network, and on the web server host.
When client printing is enabled on the Administrative Setup page, the status of the Client Print service is displayed above the Printer list. Depending on the client printing configuration, the following options are available:
If the service is not installed, you can click Install to download and install the service.
If the service is installed, you can click Configure to open the BarTender Web Print Settings page in a separate browser tab.
Copies: Specifies the number of identical copies to print. The initial value comes from the value specified in the selected document.
Serial Numbers: Specifies the number of serialized items to print. The initial value comes from the value that is specified in the selected document. This option is available if serialization is enabled for any data source in the document.
Copies per Serial Number: Specifies the number of identical copies to print per serialized item. This option is available if serialization is enabled for any data source in the document.
Cancel: Cancels the print job.
Preview: Opens the Print Preview dialog to display the document as it will appear when it is printed. If the document uses query prompts or data entry forms, those prompts or forms are displayed when you click Preview.
Print: Starts the print job.

When documents contain a serialized data source, you might want to configure Print Portal to automatically save the documents after they are printed. When you do this, the serialized value begins with the next number in the sequence the next time you print the document. To configure Print Portal to save documents after printing, use the Save documents after printing option on the Advanced property page. |
