Using the Workflow Designer |
Use the Workflow Designer to create, modify, and manage workflows for BarTender documents and other files.
The Workflow Designer provides a visual way for you to create workflows by placing objects that represent workflow elements on a design canvas and then configuring the objects to meet your needs. You can start with a blank canvas or use a preconfigured template as a starting point.
The Workflow Designer interface includes the following components:
A ribbon that has tabs that display objects that you can add to your workflow and options that you can use to create and manage your workflows
A design canvas that you use to lay out the workflow objects that you want
A properties pane that displays the properties of the currently selected object so that you can configure them
The Workflow Designer window also includes the following components and controls on the quick access toolbar, which is displayed by default at the top of the window:
: Saves the active workflow. If the workflow is new and was not previously saved, the Save Workflow dialog is displayed when you click this icon so that you can name the workflow and then save it.
: Undoes the previous action.
: Redoes the previously undone action.
The Workflow Designer interface includes an Administration tab that includes options that you can use to create and manage your workflows, a Home tab that displays objects that you can add to your workflow and properties panes that you can use to configure those objects, and a Format tab that you can use to format text box objects.
