Administration Console is an application in the BarTender Suite that administrators can use to control and customize important aspects of BarTender, such as security, the BarTender System Database, integrations, and Windows services.
You can navigate between the different sections of Administration Console by clicking the nodes in the left navigation pane.
Use the Printer Setup section to add and remove printers and manage printer preferences and properties, including advanced driver settings. You can also specify redirection and failover settings and default printer management for each printer that is installed on your system.
Use the File Locations section to specify default file and folder locations for BarTender and Process Builder.
Use the Database Connections section to view database drivers that are installed on your computer and to view and edit named database connections and SAP IDoc definitions.
Use the Integrations section to deploy the integration files that are created in Integration Builder and to view, manage, and delete previous deployments. You can also start or stop running an integration file and view the message logs that are generated by the running integrations.
Use the Security section to turn BarTender security on or off, set user permissions, turn on logging for permission checks, turn on electronic signatures, and set encryption for BarTender documents.
Use the Licensing section to view and manage BarTender licenses and license servers, activate new licenses, monitor printer activity and permissions, view user activity history, create printer pools, and configure alerts.
Use the System Database section to manage aspects of the BarTender System Database, including message logging, caching, scheduled maintenance, and administrative tasks.
Use the Email Servers section to configure one or more named email servers that are referenced by Librarian to send notification emails to the users and groups that you specify.
Use the Librarian Setup section to create and manage workflows for documents that are stored in Librarian and to create and edit rules that apply workflows to files and file types.
Use the Windows Services section to start and stop the Windows services that are related to applications in the BarTender Suite.
