System administrators can use the pages in the Security node of Administration Console to control user access in all of the applications in the BarTender Suite. With the integrated security system that BarTender uses, administrators can regulate how and when users can make configuration changes, modify documents, or print documents.

  To use the security methods that are available in Administration Console, you must first enable BarTender security on your computer.

  Specify permissions for Windows users and groups and limit access to certain actions for applications within the BarTender Suite.

• Logging Permission Checks

  Set user permissions to allow or deny groups and users access to various actions within the BarTender Suite.

• Requiring Electronic Signatures

  You can specify that individual actions require an electronic signature (user name and password) before access is granted.

• Encrypting Documents

  Configure automatic encryption for all BarTender documents that are saved on the computer and encrypt, decrypt, or change encryption keys for existing documents.
