Using Scales for Data Entry |
A weighing scale, or scale, is a hardware measuring device that is used to determine the weight of objects. Scales are commonly used in production and industrial environments, because many retail products are sold based on the net weight of the object. For more information about weight, refer to Understanding Weight Measurements.
You can read data directly from a connected scale and print it on your items by using a data entry form. To do this, you add a scale display control to your data entry form and then link the control to an installed weighing scale configuration on your computer. At print time, the data entry form displays the measured weight that will be printed on your items.
