Layout Grid Property Page |
Use the Layout Grid property page to specify minimum and maximum height and width for a layout grid object and to specify grid line visibility in the Template Design view.
The following options are available.
Dimensions
You can limit the size of the layout grid object. To do this, you can manually specify the width and height dimensions that you want for the object, or you can specify that the dimensions are calculated automatically within maximum and minimum dimension values that you can configure.
The following options are available:
Automatically calculate width: Specifies that the width for the object is calculated automatically.
Width: Specifies the width for the object. Available when Automatically calculate width is not selected.
Minimum Width: Specifies the minimum width for the object. Available when Automatically calculate width is selected.
Maximum Width: Specifies the maximum width for the object. Available when Automatically calculate width is selected.
Automatically calculate height: Specifies that the height for the object is calculated automatically.
Height: Specifies the height for the object. Available when Automatically calculate height is not selected.
Minimum Height: Specifies the minimum height for the object. Available when Automatically calculate height is selected.
Maximum Height: Specifies the maximum height for the object. Available when Automatically calculate height is selected.

You can also specify minimum and maximum height for individual rows and minimum and maximum width for individual columns by using the Rows property page and the Columns property page. The overall object dimensions come into effect only if the specified height is less than the sum of any minimum row height or if the specified width is less than the sum of any minimum column width. These conditions are handled in the following manner:

Options
Only show grid lines when selected: Specifies that grid lines are visible only when the object is selected on the template.
