Export Options Dialog |
Use the Export Options dialog to specify security settings, user permissions, and view options for the PDF output file. (These options are common to PDF files and are used by any PDF reader program.) To access this dialog, click Export Options on the Print tab of the Print dialog.
The following options are available.
Security
Encryption: Specifies the type of encryption to use.
Master Password: Specifies an optional master password for the file. A master password prevents the PDF output file from being edited in a PDF editing program but does not prevent it from being read by BarTender or Windows Explorer. BarTender can still use the file as an embedded image in another BarTender document if it has a master password.
User Password: Specifies an optional user password for the file. A user password prevents the PDF output file from being edited in a PDF editing program and from being read by BarTender or Windows Explorer. BarTender cannot use a PDF file that has a user password as an embedded image in another BarTender document.
If a PDF output file has a user password, the user must provide the password before the PDF viewer or editor can open and display the file. After the password is provided and the file is opened, a user can use a PDF editor to perform those actions that are allowed in the Protected Actions dialog.

For protected actions to be configured, the PDF file must be encrypted. |
