Dropdown Text Input Box Property Page |
Use the Dropdown Text Input Box property page to define the properties for a dropdown text input box control, including dimensions and alignment, scroll bars, and word wrapping. You can specify that the reply box is read-only or make it a password input box.
The following options are available.
Properties
Width: Specifies the horizontal dimension of the input box in the specified unit of measurement.
Alignment: Specifies the alignment of the text that is contained in the input box. Click to select Auto to use the alignment that is specified by the Reading Order setting.
Reading Order: Specifies the reading order for the reply box. Click to select Auto to use the reading order that is configured on the Form property page.
Scroll Bars: Specifies the type of scroll bar, if any, that you want for the dropdown text input box control. For the horizontal scroll bar to appear, the Word wrap option must not be selected. Available when the Dropdown Height property is set to more than one line.
Dropdown Width: Specifies the horizontal dimension of the dropdown area of the input box in the specified unit of measurement.
Dropdown Height: Specifies the vertical dimension of the dropdown area of the input box in the specified unit of measurement.
Resizable Dropdown: Specifies that at print time, a user can select the control and then drag the bottom right corner of the input box to resize that section of the control.
Word wrap: Specifies that word wrapping occurs within the control. Available when the Dropdown Height property is set to more than one line.
Read only: Prevents users from modifying the default reply in the input box at print time.
Password: Hides the user input and replaces the characters with symbols. Available when the Dropdown Height property is set to more than one line.
Password Character: Specifies the symbol that replaces the characters that are entered into the dropdown text input box control. You can select from the predefined symbols or enter the single character symbol that you want to use into the field. Available when the Password property is selected.

The appearance of the selected symbol depends on the font that is used. Some characters may not work with certain fonts. |
