For text objects, BarTender provides an intuitive on-screen editing interface when you want to quickly edit the data source or add more than one data source to the object. For barcode and encoder objects, you can use the Data Edit tool to open the Data Edit dialog, which you can then use to quickly edit the data source.

You can use these options as an alternative to using the Object Properties dialog to configure an object's data sources.
