Arranging Controls and Objects |
Object snapping refers to a behavior of the user interface in which controls and objects are pulled toward or guided to alignment with other elements on the form as you move and resize them. Two methods of snapping are available: Snap to Object or Ruler and Snap to Grid.
You can copy and paste data entry controls and objects by using standard Windows copy-and-paste and drag-and-drop operations.
Just as with template objects, you can delete data entry controls and objects or cut and paste them elsewhere on the data entry form.
You can move controls and objects on the data entry form by using a drag-and-drop operation, by entering values on the Position property page, or by using the arrow keys on your keyboard.
Except for text objects and data entry controls, you can rotate objects on the data entry form the same way that you can rotate objects on the template. You can rotate an object in place around its own center point or around a specified anchor. If you need to rotate text, the Word Processor text object can be rotated. It can also provide many formatting options that are not available to a normal or normal wrapped text object.
Use the ability to stack objects to control how these elements overlap one another on the data entry form. This feature can help you create unique graphics and other special effects on your form. Note that data entry controls cannot be stacked in the same manner as objects. Their ability to be stacked relative to each other is controlled by the specified tab order.
