Creating Controls and Objects |
The data entry form supports many types of familiar user-input controls for data entry, each of which can be configured to your requirements to enable user input. You can also add organizational controls and objects that can add structure to the form to assist users in understanding and accurately completing the form. You can further customize the appearance of the controls and objects on your form to complete your form design. These customizations include resizing the controls and objects, specifying font styles, and aligning these items on the form and with each other.
You can create data entry controls and organizational controls when you are in the Data Entry Form view. Choose the data entry control that you need from the wide variety of controls that are supported, and access the control's property pages to configure it for user input. Add organizational controls to your form to organize the controls and improve usability.
You can add objects to the data entry form in much the same manner that you add them to the template. Text, line, shape, and picture objects are all supported. Although they are not used for user input, they can improve usability by providing structure, organization, and even user instructions for the data entry form. You can customize each object by using its property pages.
Modifying the Appearance of Controls and Objects
There are many ways to customize the controls and objects on the data entry form. You can re-size any control or object on the form by using either its property page or the mouse, change font styles for text elements, and even copy some styles from one control or object to another control or object. Additionally, you can group controls and objects together and specify the alignment between selected controls and objects. You can also stack and rotate objects to create unique visual designs.
