Administration Password Setup

The Administration Password Setup dialog enables administrators to restrict access to Print Station's configuration settings by requiring a password to open the Administrative Setup dialog. Enabling password protection on the Administrative Setup dialog does not limit a user's ability to print from Print Station, but the user will be unable to access the Administrative Setup dialog without the password.

ClosedTo set or change a password

  1. In the Administrative Setup Options menu, click Administrative Setup to open the corresponding dialog.

  2. In the left navigation pane, click Security.

  3. Click the Set or Change Password button to open the Administration Password Setup dialog.

  4. If you are changing the password, type the current password in the Old Password field.

  5. Type the new password in the New Password field.

  6. Re-type the password into the Confirm New Password field.

  7. Click OK to close the dialog.

ClosedTo remove a password

  1. In the Administrative Setup Options menu, click Administrative Setup to open the corresponding dialog.

  2. In the left navigation pane, click Security.

  3. Click Set or Change Password to open the Administration Password Setup dialog.

  4. Type the current password in the Old Password field. Leave the New Password and Confirm New Password fields blank.

  5. Click OK to close the dialog.
