Restoring Deleted Items

When a file is deleted from the repository, the file remains in the BarTender System Database. This means that the file can be later retrieved if it was accidentally deleted, or needed at a later time. "Deleted" files are not permanently deleted, though they cannot be modified or checked out of Librarian without first being restored.

ClosedTo restore a deleted item

  1. Display all deleted items by choosing Show Deleted Items from the View menu.

  2. Browse to the directory where the file resided in the Folders pane.

  3. Select the deleted file in the Files pane. All deleted files will appear grayed out.

  4. Restore the file using one of the following methods:

    • Open the context menu for the selected file, and select Undelete.

    • Select Undelete from the File menu.
