Managing Sample Data |
You can use the Integration Builder sample data functionality to modify, import, export (save), delete, and duplicate samples. You can also copy or cut and paste samples from one integration to another.
For information about how to add sample data to an integration, refer to Adding Sample Data to an Integration.
Click the Create tab, and then click to select the integration that you want in the Integrations pane.
Click Input Data in the integration components pane to view the Input Data property page.
In the Samples area of the property page, click to select the sample that you want to modify, and then modify it by using one or more of the following methods, as needed:
Click the Name field to rename the sample.
Click a variable name or value to edit it.
Point to the Value field for the variable until the Edit variable value icon appears. Click the icon to open the Value for dialog, and then edit the value as needed.
Point to the Value field for the variable until the icon appears. Click the icon to delete the variable.
Click Add to add a variable to the sample.
Click the Create tab, and then click to select the integration that you want in the Integrations pane.
Click Input Data in the integration components pane to view the Input Data property page.
In the Samples area of the property page, click .
In the Open File dialog, click the file that you want to import, and then click Open. The file appears in the Samples list.
To save a sample by exporting it to a file
Click the Create tab, and then click to select the integration that you want in the Integrations pane.
Click Input Data in the integration components pane to view the Input Data property page.
In the Samples area of the property page, click .
In the Save File dialog, enter the file name that you want to use, and then click Save.
On the Create tab:
Click to select the integration that you want in the Integrations pane.
Click Input Data in the integration components pane to view the Input Data property page.
In the Samples area of the property page, point to the sample that you want to delete, and then click .
In Windows Explorer:
Navigate to the folder where you saved the sample file (by default, this is the Local Disk (C:)\Users\<user name>\Documents\BarTender\Integrations folder).
Use the secondary mouse button to click the file that you want to delete, and then click Delete.
Click the Create tab, and then click to select the integration that you want in the Integrations pane.
Click Input Data in the integration components pane to view the Input Data property page.
In the Samples area of the property page, use the secondary mouse button to click the sample that you want to duplicate, and then click Duplicate. Alternatively, click Copy or Cut, and then click Paste.
To copy or cut and paste a sample from one integration to another
Click the Create tab, and then click to select the integration that you want in the Integrations pane.
Click Input Data in the integration components pane to view the Input Data property page.
In the Samples area of the property page, select the sample that you want, and then click or . Alternatively, use the secondary mouse button to click the sample that you want, and then click Copy or Cut.
In the Integrations pane, click the integration that you want to add the sample to.
Click Input Data in the integration components pane to view the Input Data property page.
If there are existing samples in the integration, select any sample in the Samples area, and then click . Alternatively, use the secondary mouse button to click any existing sample, and then click Paste.
If there are no existing samples in the integration, follow these steps:
Click New Sample to open the Sample Data wizard.
Click to select Custom Data, and then click Finish.
In the Samples area, select Sample 1, and then click . Alternatively, use the secondary mouse button to click Sample 1, and then click Paste.
To share a sample, first save it by exporting it to a file. You can then share the file as you would any other type of file.
