Value For Dialog |
Use the Value for dialog to specify and edit a value. You can access this dialog from various locations in the user interface by clicking the icon that is provided next to the value that you want to edit. You can find this icon in the following locations:
On an integration's Variables property page, next to the value for a predefined integration variable and next to the value field for a custom integration variable
On the Options page, next to the value for a predefined global variable and next to the value field for a custom global variable
Next to a previous or new variable value on the Variables tab of the Test Action dialog
In the Source area of an action's property page when the source is an embedded template, script, message, or command

The name of this dialog varies depending on where in the interface it was opened from. For example, when you open this dialog from a variable value field, it is called Value for <variable name>. When you open it from a previous or new variable value field in the Test Action dialog, it is called either Previous value for <variable name> or New value for <variable name>. When you open it from an action's Source property to specify an embedded source, it is called Value for Embedded Source. |
This dialog provides the following options:
: Exports the contents of the embedded source to a file.
: Undoes the previous action.
: Redoes the previously undone action.
: Cuts the selected content and places it on the Clipboard.
: Copies the selected content and places it on the Clipboard.
: Pastes the contents of the Clipboard.
: Displays a list of text formatting options (text, XML, and HTML). Click to select the format that you want.
: Wraps the embedded source value within the editing pane.
: Displays a list of encoding schemes to use for exporting. Click to select the scheme that you want.
: Displays the Find search bar so that you can search for text in the embedded source. Click to see a list of search options.
When the text formatting option is set to HTML, you can access further formatting options by using the secondary mouse button to click in the editing pane. The following options are available:
Cut: Cuts the selected text and places it on the Clipboard.
Copy: Copies the selected text and places it on the Clipboard.
Paste: Pastes the contents of the Clipboard into the value input box.
Increase Indent: Increases the indentation of the selected text.
Decrease Indent: Decreases the indentation of the selected text.
Font: Opens the Font dialog, which you can use to specify the font typeface, style, and size for the selected text.
Bookmark: Opens the Bookmark dialog, which you can use to create and add a bookmark to the text.
Hyperlink: Opens the Insert Hyperlink dialog, which you can use to create and add a hyperlink to the text.
