About Security Storage |
BarTender Security never overwrites a local security document with remote settings. Instead, remote settings are cached.
If the system is configured to use the BarTender System Database, BarTender reads database settings before it reads local settings. If the database settings indicate that BarTender should defer to local settings, it will read the local settings. The local setting can refer to itself or to the BarTender System Database.
Any time that BarTender reads a remote document, it might have to fall back to the cached version. If the document does not allow the use of cached settings, BarTender denies all security permissions.
