Printed Item Preview Pane

The Printed Item Preview pane displays preview images of the items in the selected print job. The preview image can be drawn from an image that is saved to the BarTender System Database or generated on demand.

To specify whether a preview image is stored in the BarTender System Database, select the Include image of the printed item(s) option on the Administration Console Print Job Logging page.

When you select this option, BarTender stores the preview image in the BarTender System Database log, and History Explorer draws this image from the database. Be aware that this logging option takes up significant space in the BarTender System Database and can cause more time to be needed to run print jobs from BarTender.

By using the options that this pane includes on the toolbar and in the context menu, you can preview and reprint a printed item, copy an image to the Clipboard, or the save the preview image to a file.

ClosedUsing the Toolbar

Use the printed item preview toolbar to open the preview image, copy the image to the Clipboard, save the image as an image file, or reprint the displayed item.

  Opens the preview image in a viewer application.

  Copies the preview image to the Clipboard.

  Saves the preview image as an image file.

  Reprints the displayed item.

  Refreshes the Printed Item Preview pane.

When you right-click a preview in the Printed Item Preview pane, the following options are available:

Use the navigation bar to quickly browse through the records in the pane.

  Moves to the previous record.

  Moves to the previous page of data.

  Moves to the first record.

  Moves to the next record.

  Moves to the next page of data.

  Moves to the last record.
