Repositioning Panes

Many of the panes within History Explorer's user interface can be customized to fit your needs and desires. One way that you can do this is by repositioning the panes within the Main View.

ClosedTo reposition panes

  1. Move the cursor over the title bar of the desired pane.

  2. Click and hold the primary mouse button.

  3. Drag the cursor. The pane will move with the cursor. As you move the pane, the repositioning icon appears at the center of the Main View.

  4. Drag the desired pane to one of the arrows on the repositioning icon, and release the mouse button. This will dock the pane to the location specified by the icon. For example, dragging a pane to the right arrow of the repositioning icon will dock the pane on the right side of the main user interface.

If you randomly release the mouse button in the window, the pane will either return to its default location, or become a floating pane. Floating panes can be positioned outside of the Main View.

When you exit History Explorer, the application saves the position of the panes in the Main View. The next time that you open History Explorer, the panes will appear in the same position they were in when you closed the previous session.
