All BarTender Suite applications identify problems using messages. When an alert message is triggered, it is automatically stored in the BarTender System Database. Using the BarTender Suite: Messages view, you can filter, sort, and view application messages returned by applications in the BarTender Suite.
The BarTender Suite: Messages view displays the message creation date and time, severity, content, and the application that issued the message.
To display application messages, select one of the filter options under the BarTender Suite: Messages header in the View Selector pane. You can choose from the following built-in filters, or customize your own.
All Messages: Displays all of the messages.
Messages by Application: Displays messages grouped by the application that created them.
Messages by Computer: Displays messages by the originating computer.
Custom: Create custom filters to display only messages that meet a specific criteria. When clicked, the Custom Filter controls display at the top of the Application Message View. For more information, see Creating Custom Filters.
After selecting the desired link, application message information appears in the different panes that make up the History Explorer window. You can customize the display by sorting, grouping, or filtering the data in the BarTender System Database.
