Administration Password Setup

The Administration Password Setup dialog lets administrators restrict access to users trying to change Print Station's configuration settings. Without knowing the password, users will be able to print items, but will be unable to access the Administrative Setup dialog. To define or modify a password, click the Set or Change Password button on the Security property page of the Administrative Setup dialog.

ClosedTo set or change a password

  1. In the Administrative Setup Options menu, select Administrative Setup dialog to open the corresponding dialog.

  2. In the left Navigation Pane, click Security.

  3. Click the Set or Change Password button to open the Administration Password Setup dialog.

  4. If you are changing the password, type the current password into the Old Password field.

  5. Enter your desired password into the New Password field.

  6. Reenter the password into the Confirm New Password field.

  7. Click OK to close the dialog.

ClosedTo remove a password

  1. In the Administrative Setup Options menu, select Administrative Setup dialog to open the corresponding dialog.

  2. In the left Navigation Pane, click Security.

  3. Click the Set or Change Password button to open the Administration Password Setup dialog.

  4. Type the current password into the Old Password field. Leave the New Password and Confirm New Password fields blank.

  5. Click OK to close the dialog.
