The Socket property page enables you to configure the following properties for your Network Socket Integration.

Network Socket

• Protocol: Specifies the socket protocol to use.

• Port: Specifies the network address port.

• Network Address:

  • Listen on all network interfaces: When enabled, the socket listens to all network addresses.

  • Listen on specific IP address (v4/v6): When enabled, the socket listens to only the IP address that you specify.

Communication Settings

The following settings are available only when TCP has been selected as the protocol.

• Read Timeout: Specifies the amount of time to wait for the socket to read data.

• Write Timeout: Specifies the amount of time to wait for the socket to write data.

• Maximum Connections: Specifies the maximum number of connections.

Connection Protocol

• Send acknowledgement message when client connects: This option enables you to specify a message that is sent when the socket connection is made. Enter the response message in the input box. Alternatively, you can add a variable that specifies the message. You can also add a special character to the value that you enter.
