Batch Maker

Batch Maker is a software utility in the BarTender Suite that allows users to create batch files to perform repetitive print operations. Batch files may be created using Batch Maker's graphical user interface as an alternative to automating BarTender using programming interfaces such as ActiveX, the .NET SDK, the command line interface, or BarTender XML Script.

BarTender batch files have an extension of *.btbat, and can be used to print multiple BarTender documents using a single print operation. For each document in the batch file, you can specify a printer, the number of copies you want to print, and/or specific records from a database. Once the batch file is created, multiple documents can be printed over and over again with a single command, eliminating the need to open and print multiple documents separately.

Batch files can be used when an event in a business process requires a repetitive set of steps; for example, whenever an order is received, do these three things in order. A simple use case would be:

Rather than opening DocumentA.btw, DocumentB.btw, and DocumentC.btw separately in BarTender each time a shipment is received, you can use a batch file to automatically open and print all three documents in one go.
