Text Object |
In the Data Entry Form view, a text object is text on the data entry form that cannot be modified at print-time. A text object can contain any message that you want to appear on the form. For example, it can be a control label giving instructions about what to enter into a related reply control, a text label used to describe a set of related controls, or a paragraph of text describing the intent of the data entry form. A text object can also be a special symbol character that adds relevant information to your form.
You can add the following types of text objects for your data entry form:
Single Line: Creates a single line of text. The width of the text box is determined by the length of the text. The text does not wrap.
Multi-line: Creates a word-wrapping paragraph of text. You specify the width of the text box, and the amount of text determines the height of the box.
Word Processor: Inserts a word processor text object onto the data entry form. This object allows editing rich text on the data entry form.
Symbol Font Characters: Allows you to browse through a substantial selection of industry-specific graphic symbols to add to the data entry form.
Once you have added a text object to the data entry form, you can configure it using the appropriate Properties dialog.
The Text Properties dialog provides access to the property pages for single line, multi-line, and symbol font character text objects. You can use these property pages to configure the object to meet your design needs.
Word Processor Text Properties Dialog
The Word Processor Text Properties dialog provides access to the property pages for a word processor text object. You can use these property pages to configure the object to meet your design needs and to access the word processor, where you can create your rich text.
