A weighing is natively supported by BarTender if the scale manufacturer and model name appear in the Add Scale Wizard, accessed from the Weighing Scale Setup dialog.
If your scale is supported, all you need to do is walk through the Add Scale Wizard to install it. To find out if your scale is natively supported, refer to Installing a Scale.
To add a supported weighing scale

From the Administer menu, select Weighing Scale Setup. If you do not have any installed, the Add Scale Wizard will automatically open. Otherwise, click Add Scale on the Weighing Scale Setup dialog to launch the Add Scale Wizard.

On the Welcome page of the wizard, click Next.

On the Select Scale Model page, locate and select your scale's manufacturer in the Manufacturer pane.

In the Models pane, find and select your scale's model name.

Click Next to complete the wizard by specifying a name for your scale and defining it its connection options. When you have finished adding the scale, it will appear in the Installed Scales list on the Weighing Scale Setup dialog.

To ensure success in installing a scale for use with BarTender, have the desired scale installed on your computer before launching the Add Scale Wizard.

Once you have installed your scale, you may need to configure the scale's connection settings for proper communication with BarTender. For more information, refer to Weighing Scale Configuration.
