The Weighing Scale Setup dialog, accessible from the Administer menu or the Weighing Scale Setup button on the Scale property page, lists the currently installed for use with BarTender. Using this dialog, you can manage installed scales, add new scales, and remove scales that you no longer need.
The following tabs are available:
The Installed Scales tab appears on the Weighing Scale Setup dialog if you have previously added scales for use with BarTender. If you have not yet added scales, the Add Scale Wizard will open automatically when you access the Weighing Scale Setup dialog.

Installed Scales: Displays a list of all scales that have been added for use with BarTender.

Add Scale: Launches the Add Scale Wizard, which allows you to install a for use with applications in the BarTender Suite.

Properties: Opens the Scale Properties dialog, which allows you to view and configure the selected scale.

Copy: Creates a second installed instance of the selected scale.

Delete: Removes the selected scale from the list of installed scales. Once removed, BarTender can no longer access or use the scale, even if it is physically connected to your computer.

To ensure success in adding a scale for use with BarTender, have the desired scale installed on your computer before launching the Add Scale Wizard.

When you define a new scale model using the Add Scale Wizard, it appears in the User-Defined Models tab.

User-Defined Models: Displays a list of all custom scale models defined on your computer.

Edit: Opens the User-Defined Model Properties dialog, which allows you to view and configure the selected scale model.

Delete: Removes the selected model from the list of user-defined models.
When you configure a new using the User-Defined Protocol Properties dialog, it appears in the User-Defined Protocols tab.
