BarTender supports several different types of objects to help you design your template. Some, like line and shape objects, are quite simple to add to your template and customizations are as basic as changing its color or line thickness. Others, like barcode, text, picture and encoder objects, may require more customization.

• Barcode Object

  A barcode object allows you to place a barcode on the template that, when printed, can be read by a barcode reader.

• Text Object

  A text object allows you to place text or a text symbol on the template. BarTender supports many different types of text objects including single line, multi-line, and arc text objects. More complex text objects are also supported and include a word processor text object allowing you to create rich text, symbol font characters text objects for inserting industry specific symbols, and markup language containers that support RTF, HTML, and XAML markup languages.

• Line Object

  A line object allows you to draw a line anywhere on the template, in any direction.

• Shape Object

  A shape object allows you to place a pre-defined shape on the template. You can choose from a provided selection of different shapes, or use a combination of shape objects, perhaps in combination with line objects, to create your own unique shape on the template.

• Picture Object

  You can use a picture object to place an image onto the template.

• Encoder Object

  You can use an encoder object to place RFID, magnetic stripe, and smart card technologies onto your template.
