A picture object places a picture on your template. The picture can be imported from your computer or an external device, such as a camera.

  BarTender supports many different image formats that you can import into your template.

  The Picture Properties dialog provides access to the property pages for a picture object. You can use these property pages to customize the object to your design needs, or even change the method for importing the image.

  Images can be embedded into an object, or linked to an external file. They can also be captured at print-time using a control on the data entry form or linked to a binary formatted image file in a database. BarTender even supports embedding Base64 encoded images into the template. Understanding these different options can help you select the most appropriate method to use to import a specific image into the template.

• Modifying Pictures

  To ensure your image is displayed correctly on your printed item, BarTender supports several different methods for editing the image. Using various property pages located on the Picture Properties dialog, you can resize your image, adjust the color, focus, or rotation of the image, crop the image, and add special effects such as changing the transparency of the image.
