Changing an Object's Text Format

You can change the text format of a barcode or text object using the object's Text Format property page. For barcode objects, these options affect only the human readable characters.

  1. Double-click on the desired object to open the Object Properties dialog. Alternatively, select Properties from the object's context menu.

  2. In the Navigation Pane, select Text Format to open the Text Format property page.

In addition to using the Text Format property page to modify the object's text formatting, the following text toolbar icons are provided as a shortcut for changing the indicated text formats:

Specifies a text format type of Single Line. A single line text object contains one line of text, and the size of the text box is always sized to its content.

Specifies left alignment for the lines of a Paragraph text format type. A multi-line text object (or "paragraph") contains multiple lines of text, wrapping to a new line when the edge of the text box is reached.

Specifies center alignment for the lines of a Paragraph text format type.

Specifies right alignment for the lines of a Paragraph text format type.

Specifies justified alignment for the lines of a Paragraph text format type.

Specifies distributed alignment for the lines of a Paragraph text format type.

Specifies a text object format type of Arc, and with a "clockwise" text orientation. Available only for text objects.

Specifies a text object format type of Arc, and with a "counterclockwise" text orientation. Available only for text objects.
