The Scanner and Camera Setup dialog, accessible from the Administer menu, allows you to select a scanner or camera device that is connected to your computer. BarTender can acquire images using a device, and insert them directly onto the active template.

In addition to accessing this dialog from the Administer menu, the Scanner and Camera Setup dialog displays the first time you select Get Picture From Scanner or Camera in either the Picture property page or the Background tab of the Page Setup dialog.

BarTender automatically detects and displays all WIA and TWAIN devices that are currently connected to your computer. When your device appears in the dialog, simply select the desired device and click OK to setup that device for use with BarTender.

Device Selection

• Always use selected device: Specifies that the selected device be used each time the Get Picture From Scanner or Camera button is pressed. To change the default device, you need to change it by opening the Scanner and Camera Setup dialog from the Administer menu.

• Confirm device selection when acquiring image: Specifies that BarTender prompts for the device to use each time the Get Picture From Scanner or Camera button is pressed.
