Required Edition |
Automation, Enterprise Automation |
The Export Printer Code Template dialog, accessible from the File menu, is used to generate a printer code template using a specified print system; additionally, you can specify whether or not the formatting and data information should be combined into a single printer code template or split into two separate files.
The following options are available:
Print System:
More Options: Opens the Printer Code Template Options dialog.
Output
To Port: Sends the exported printer code template directly to the port used by the current printer, keyboard terminal, XML enabled printer, or ERP system.
All in One File: Exports a single printer code template containing the printer formatting information and data. The printer code template will be saved as the file specified in the File Name field; alternatively, navigate to the destination directory using the Browse button.
Separate Format & Data Files: Produces separate printer code templates for the formatting information and the data contained in the document. This option can improve printer performance by eliminating the need for the formatting information to be sent to the printer with each executed print job. The printer code templates will be saved as the files specified in the Format File and Data File fields; alternatively, navigate to the destination directory using the Browse button.
Printer Code Only:
To ensure that the format file contains all the delimiters defined in the Delimiter tab of the Printer Code Template Setup dialog inserted, leave this option unchecked.
Export: Exports the printer code template.
