Selecting and Modifying Multiple Controls and Objects |
Just as objects can be grouped together on a template, data entry controls and objects can be grouped together on a data entry form. This can be helpful when designing your form, as the grouped elements can be moved as a single entity to another location on the form. You can additionally modify shared properties that the grouped elements might have, saving you time when, for instance, you'd like to change the font of the controls and objects in the group.

The linked pages listed below reference template objects, but the information is relevant for data entry controls and objects as well. |
Use simple mouse clicking or click and drag functions to select all of the controls and objects you want to move, modify, or turn into a group.
Once the set of controls and objects are selected, turning them into a group can make later group changes that much easier. And of course, you can always break the group back into separate elements when necessary, or when the group is no longer needed.
Modifying Properties for Multiple Selected Objects
When you have selected a set of controls and objects for a group, you can open the Object Properties dialog and access the properties for each of the selected elements from within the same dialog. Additionally, where the controls and objects share the same properties, you can edit the property one time to change it for all of the selected elements.
