Modifying the Appearance of Controls and Objects |
Once you have started placing controls and objects on the data entry form, you are likely to want to customize them to make your form easier to use or perhaps to follow in-house standards. This may include resizing them, moving them, changing font styles and colors, etc.
There are two methods for resizing your data entry controls and objects. One method is to simply use your computer mouse to "drag" the control or object to the dimensions that you want. The other method is to edit the Width and Height options on the property page of the control or object.
Arranging Controls and Objects
There are many options for arranging data entry controls and objects on your data entry form. Familiar copying and pasting commands are available, as well as "drag and drop" placement. These actions are supplemented by alignment tools and object snapping guides, and you can additionally control the stacking order of data entry form objects.
Changing the Color of Controls and Objects
When designing your data entry form, you can adjust the color of controls and objects, including creating custom colors and adding interesting fills such as gradients, patterns, textures, and pictures.
Using the Format Painter tool, you can apply styles quickly from one control or object to another control or object, saving you the time of customizing each one individually.
Selecting and Modifying Multiple Controls and Objects
You can select multiple controls and objects at once using two different methods. Once multiple elements are selected, you can move them and modify their properties as a group. You can use this group temporarily or you can specify the selected elements as more permanent group so that you can subsequently select the whole group again with a single click.
