Dash Style

Dash Style determines the frequency of brakes in a line. Dash Style can be applied to letters, outlines of shapes, borders of various objects, and single lines.

While some dash styles have breaks within them, if they are used as shapes, the shapes themselves are treated as a whole, so that any fill colors do not bleed outside of the shape. In the example below, note how the dash setting keeps the lines open, but the fill color does not spread outside the shape itself.
