To align one or more objects

  1. Click on the object you want to align to select it; if more than one object needs to be aligned, hold down the Shift or Ctrl key as you click on each object that you want to align.

  2. From the Arrange menu, choose Align to open the Align dialog. Alternatively, select Arrange from the object's context menu and choose Align, or simply select the desired option from the arrange toolbar.

When aligning two or more objects, the master selected object defines the positioning of all other selected objects, and the other selected objects are aligned in relationship to it. You can recognize the master selected object by the green selection border outlining it; the secondary selected objects are outlined with gray selection borders. When selecting multiple objects, the first object selected is the master selected object.
