Select the 
icon on the object toolbar to display a list of all available shapes. Alternatively, select Shape from the Create menu.
Click the shape you want to add to your template.
Click at the desired location on the template to add the shape.

You can add a shape to a template or combine multiple shapes into a single object to make a more complex drawing. After you have added a shape to the template, you can format the shape by adding color and styles using the Shape property page.
To add a shape to your template
Select the icon on the object toolbar to display a list of all available shapes. Alternatively, select Shape from the Create menu.
Click the shape you want to add to your template.
Click at the desired location on the template to add the shape.
To combine multiple shapes into a single object
Once all of the desired objects have been added to the template, select each one while pressing the Ctrl key on your keyboard.
Select Group from the Arrange menu.
By grouping the objects together, when you select one object in the group, all will be selected. This allows you to move the drawing, composed of multiple objects, together as a single object.
