Printing with Intelligent Forms

A form must be in production (i.e., the file must be live) in order to print it. If a user attempts to print a form that is not live, BarTender Cloud displays an error.

ClosedTo preview a form

In the Intelligent Form Builder

Preview forms that are not in production using the Intelligent Form Builder page.

  • On the Intelligent Form Builder page, click Preview to view the form.

In the Librarian

Preview forms that are in production using the Librarian page.

  • In Librarian, select the forms file (.btf) you want to preview, click , and select Print. Alternatively, double-click the file.

    Librarian displays the form.

Preview forms that are in production and attached to a label file using the Print page.

  1. In Librarian, select the label file (.btw) you want to print, click , and select Print. Alternatively, double-click the file.

  2. On the Print page, click Preview to view the label before printing it.

    BarTender Cloud displays the form.

  3. Click Cancel to return to the print page, or Print to print the label.

ClosedTo reset a form

  1. In Librarian, select the file you want to print, click , and select Print. Alternatively, double-click the file you want to print.

  2. When the Data Entry Form displays, enter any necessary information necessary.

  3. To clear the entries you made, click Reset.

ClosedTo test print

  1. In Librarian, select the label file (.btw) you want to print, click , and select Print. Alternatively, double-click the file you want to print.

  2. Click Test Print, to print a single item. The test includes any changes made to the print time overrides.

    You are not prompted to enter data even if data entry is enabled for a data source on the template. Instead, the default data for the data source is used.

  3. If the form attached to this file is an Intelligent Form (.btf file), when the Data Entry Form displays, enter any necessary information, then click Print

    • When entering a date in a field on a form, you must use the following format: yyyy-mm-dd

ClosedTo print from a form

  1. Double-click the file you want to print. Alternatively, in Librarian, select the form file (.btf) you want to print, click , and select Print.

  2. If the form includes the ability to select a printer or a label file, and set the number of copies, make those selections.

  3. When the Data Entry Form displays, enter any necessary information.

    • When entering a date in a field on a form, you must use the following format: yyyy-mm-dd
  4. Click Print.

    The label prints using Cloud resources.

  5. If you have printed to a PDF file, click Download to download and view the printed file.
