Symbol Version

Symbol version refers to the size of the barcode. Larger symbol versions can hold more data than smaller symbol versions. Use the Symbol Version option to set the size for your symbol by selecting a value from the list. When you select Auto, BarTender automatically selects the smallest symbol version size that will hold the data.

ClosedCode One

The Code One symbology supports 14 symbol versions. The smallest, version S-10, has a six-module capacity, and the largest, version H, has a numeric capacity of 3,500 modules. The three size selections that begin with the letter "S" (S10, S20, and S30) can be used only with numeric data.

ClosedGS1 QR Code

The QR Code symbology supports 40 symbol versions. The smallest, version 1, measures 21 x 21 modules. Each subsequent version increases in size in steps of four modules per side. The largest, version 40, measures 177 x 177 modules.

ClosedHan Xin Code

The Han Xin Code symbology supports 84 symbol versions. The smallest, version 1, measures 23 x 23 modules. Each subsequent version increases in size in steps of two modules per side. The largest, version 84, measures 189 x 189 modules.

ClosediQR Code

The iQR Code symbology supports 61 versions of square-shaped symbols and 15 sizes of rectangle-shaped symbols, as follows.

The symbol versions that start with an "R" format the barcode as a rectangle.

ClosedMicro QR Code

The Micro QR Code symbology supports four symbol versions. The smallest, version M1, measures 11 x 11 modules. Each subsequent version increases in size in steps of two modules per side. The largest, version M4, measures 17 x 17 modules.

The QR Code symbology supports 40 symbol versions. The smallest, version 1, measures 21 x 21 modules. Each subsequent version increases in size in steps of four modules per side. The largest, version 40, measures 177 x 177 modules.

The rMQR Code symbology supports 32 symbol versions. The smallest, version 1, measures 7 x 43 modules. Each subsequent version increases in either width or height. The largest, version 32, measures 17 x 139 modules.
