Selected Object Property Page |
|
The name of this property page varies depending on the object that is selected on the template. |
The Selected Object property page is displayed when you select the top-level option - which is the name of the selected object - in the left navigation pane of the Object Properties dialog. This property page specifies the global properties of the selected object.
When multiple objects are selected, two Selected Object property pages are available: one for all selected objects and another for the master selected object. The master selected object is outlined by a green selection border. The secondary selected objects have gray selection borders. You can change a secondary object to the master object by clicking it. For more information, refer to Master Selected Object. For more information about how to select and modify multiple objects, refer to Selecting and Modifying Multiple Objects.
The following options are available:
Object name: Specifies a name for the selected object. You can use this name in VBScript to refer to the object.
Comments: Specifies a comment for the selected object. The comment appears in the status bar when the object is selected on the template.
Preprinted: Specifies that the selected object is treated as if it were already printed on the media. This means that the object is not printed, although it does appear in the Print Preview window.
Cut path: Specifies that the cut path that the printer's cutting plotter takes when the label is printed is displayed in the Preview window and on the template. If you click to select this check box and your printer does not support this kind of label cutting, an error message is displayed at print time. Available for shape, box, line, and picture objects.
Print when: Specifies when BarTender prints the selected object. Available when the Preprinted option is not selected.
Opens the When to Print dialog, which specifies the conditions under which the object is printed.
Preview: Displays a print preview of the selected object.
