For RAIN RFID - EPC and RAIN RFID - ISO tags, the Access Control settings specify whether a particular memory block type is open or locked. The specific memory blocks available and the available settings that you can specify for those memory blocks depend on the printer that you selected for the document. When a memory block is locked, an encoder cannot alter the data in that memory block.

• EPC/UII Block: Specifies whether the EPC/UII memory block is open or locked.

• User Block: Specifies whether the user memory block is open or locked.

• Range: Opens the User Memory Access Control Options dialog, where you can specify the blocks of the user memory bank to lock. Available only when a RAIN RFID tag is selected and when Lock Permanently is selected for the User Block property.

• TID Block: Specifies whether the tag ID (TID) memory block is open or locked.

• Access Password: Specifies whether the access password memory block is open or locked.

• Kill Password: Specifies whether the kill password memory block is open or locked.

Access Password

• New Password: Displays the password that you define in the New Password dialog. To open the New Password dialog and define a password, click to the right of the field. Available when one or more memory block settings are set to a lock option.

• Old Password: Displays the password that you define in the Old Password dialog. To open the Old Password dialog and define a password, click to the right of the field. Available when one or more memory block settings are set to an unlock option.

Kill Password

• Modify Kill Password: Makes the New Kill Password option available.

• New Kill Password: Displays the password that you define in the Kill Password dialog. To open the Kill Password dialog and define a password, click to the right of the field. Available when Modify Kill Password is selected.

For PJM tags, the Access Control settings specify whether a particular memory block type is open or locked. The specific memory blocks that are available, and the available settings that you can specify for those memory blocks, depend on the printer that you selected for the document. When a memory block is locked, an encoder cannot alter the data in the specified memory block.

• Access Control: Specifies the setting that you want for the memory blocks. The following options are available: 

• Open: Specifies that the memory blocks are open.

• Lock Permanently: Locks the specified number of blocks permanently. An encoder cannot alter the data in the locked blocks.

• Blocks To Lock: Specifies the number of blocks to lock. The starting block is always 0.

• Lock With Password: Specifies that all blocks are locked and that an encoder cannot alter the data in the blocks unless the password is provided.

• Password: Displays the password that you define in the Access Password dialog. To open the Access Password dialog and define a password, click to the right of the field.
