Truncation Dialog

When information is read from a database, you might not want the entire contents of a database field to be read into an object on the template. For example, suppose that your database has a field that contains leading or trailing spaces before or after the data that you want to print. (This condition can be caused when you convert one database format to another or convert a database to a text file.) Because BarTender cannot determine whether the spaces are necessary, the spaces are treated as data at print time, which increases the size of a barcode. You can use the Truncation dialog to adjust the database source contents so that your printed output is correct.
