Use the Select Data Source dialog to specify the data source that BarTender uses to perform a function. You can use this dialog to select a conditional statement that determines whether a template is printed. Additionally, this dialog specifies the data source that determines whether a media handling action occurs, such as "Cut and Pause".

• Data Source Type: Specifies the category of data source, such as "Database Field", "Named Data Source", or "Object Value".

• Database Field: Specifies the database field that contains the information that you want. Available when the data source type is Database Field.

• Named Data Source: Specifies the named data source that contains the information that you want. Select the data source from the list of available data sources in your document. Available when the data source type is Named Data Source.

• Object Name: Specifies the object in your document that contains the information that you want. Available when the data source type is Object Value.
