Error Correction (Grid Matrix)

The Grid Matrix symbology supports five levels of Reed-Solomon error correction. The levels range from 10 percent to 50 percent, which represents the proportion of error correcting codewords in relation to the total number of codewords.

Error correction levels 1 and 2 are appropriate for symbols that have high print quality and/or environments in which the required symbol dimensions must be as small as possible. Level 5 is appropriate for symbols that have low print quality or high damage potential.
